Shiny Stones are items that allow certain species of Pokémon to evolve. For example, in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Floette can only evolve into Florges with a Shiny Stone. Once you unlock the National Pokédex later, you’ll be able to catch more Pokémon that can evolve with a Shiny Stone. With that being said, here is where to find some Shiny Stones in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Shiny Stones Locations
Unlike Dawn Stones, which are pretty rare, there are a couple of things you can do to get a Shiny Stone in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
- add more 150 volumes to your Pokedex. Open your Pokédex and press X to claim your rewards (see image above). You can also get a ton of other cool items here.
- Talk to jacq (the Biology teacher) after having caught more than 150 Pokémon. He hangs out at the Academy’s Biology Lab.
- Try your luck at the auctions in Proto Marinade. The list of auctioned items is updated every new date in real life. If you’re lucky, you might see some really rare items like bottle caps.

You can also get Shiny Stones in Pokéballs around the world (Area Six and above) or dropped items (those that glow on the ground), but many of them are too late in the game for early access. These are the fastest ways to have one!
Unfortunately, Shiny Stones are also not purchasable from Delibird Presents like the more common evolutionary stones like Fire and Water Stones. Those can be purchased for ₽3000 after you’ve defeated three Gym Leaders.
