Are Cigars Safer Than Cigarettes?

There is a difference between cigars and cigarettes, but it's not a big one.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says this is because of how the tobacco is packaged.

In cigars, the tobacco is wrapped in something made from tobacco, like a tobacco leaf.

While the paper around the tobacco in a cigarette is very simple.

The CDC says that about 12.5% of adults in the United States smoke cigarettes.

While only 3.5% of people say cigars are their favorite tobacco product.

Cigars and cigarettes both have nicotine, which is a substance that can be very addicting.

When you smoke them, you become physically and mentally dependent on them.

When compared to cigarettes, cigars tend to have more of this substance than cigarettes.

The Mayo Clinic says that if you choose cigars instead of cigarettes, it won't make you less likely to get sick from smoking.
