The lawyer representing an ally and former marketing campaign adviser for former President Donald Trump rejected accusations that his shopper had acted as a overseas agent as “nothing short of ridiculous” because the federal trial in opposition to California billionaire Thomas J. Barrack Jr. opened in New York City this week.

Barrack, an Arabic speaker of Lebanese descent, was arrested final 12 months and launched on $250 million bail. Both he and Grimes have pleaded not responsible.
