Sudowoodo made a big appearance in the Pokémon series, first appearing as a fake tree in Pokémon Gold and Silver. He then received a pre-evolution Bonsly, which can be found early on in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. This may leave you wondering how to evolve Bonsly into Sudowoodo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
How to Get Sudowoodo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
To evolve Bonsly to Sudowoodo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to breed Bonsly to level 16. Then it will learn Mimic—make sure to teach bonsly imitate. Once you’ve learned this move, increase Bonsly’s level by one and it will evolve into Sudowoodo. If you don’t learn Mimic, you can’t evolve Bonsly into Sudowoodo in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

If you accidentally forgot Mimic in your Bonsly moveset or caught a higher level one that doesn’t have the move, you can remember it. This will allow Bonsly to relearn the move, and you can then turn it into a Sudowood. Once it’s evolved, you no longer need to keep Mimic in your moveset.
Sudowood is a Rock-type Pokémon and has high Attack and Defense. It can be quite good early on due to its low evolution level. It is also the partner Pokémon to Brassius, the leader of the Grass-type Gym in Artazon.
